I’m still here….

I have been incredibly lazy about getting on the computer lately.  I feel bad that I haven’t been blogging much lately.  I’ve been knitting a-plenty, but just haven’t been taking pics or getting on the computer — I’ve barely even been checking my email.

My LYS, the Yarn Garden, had a big sale this weekend.  When all was said and done, I came home with a sweater’s worth of a bright pink Cascade 220 (9469), a scarf’s worth of Noro Kureyon #40, a hank of Prime Alpaca in natural, a couple of scarf’s worth of Frog Tree Alpaca in various colors (planned for various recipients), and a pair of socks’ worth of Panda Wool in neptune.  Quite a haul, if I do say so myself!

I couldn’t help myself — I started my fair isle sweater, and have so far incorporated 19 colors into it.  I’m 2/3 of the way there, color-wise, but not
even close to that, knitting-wise!  It’s looking great so far, though, and I’m having lots of fun with it.  I’m still plugging away on Jeannie, of course, and I’ve also started the cabled cardigan I bought the Cascade for.  I have a feeling that the cardigan will be the first of the three big projects to be completed.  Jeannie will probably be next, and then the fair isle cardigan.

I have a pair of socks going, as well.  Nothing too intricate, but a yarn I really love, and one of the selection that my in-laws sent me for Christmas.  I really want to complete those by this time next month, as I’ll be seeing them then, and want to show them off!  Speaking of which….

I’ll be out of town, and off the computer for most of April.  I’ll be kid-free for a week here, and will be spending much of that time knitting (and not much on the computer….).  I’ll also be kid-free for a week at a condo in a spa resort, and will be without internet there (try not to feel too bad for me while I’m there, okay?).  I have an almost-cross-country train trip planned, from DC to Chicago, and then from Chicago to Salt Lake City.  I’m really looking forward to the trip (also kid-free!).  Travel over almost 3 days, with more yarn than clothes packed!  I’ll be reuniting with the kids and the hubby in Salt Lake, and spending a week there with my in-laws.  We’re all really looking forward to the visits!  Toward the end of April, we’ll be returning home via the same plane, and I plan to take the rest of April off from the computer, as well.  All that kid-free and husband-free time will need to be made up with some intensive snuggle time, play time, reading time, and just time!

I’ll try to get back here soon with some pictures of in-progress goodies, and hopefully, I’ll soon have some finished goodies as well!
