I made a cute set of birthday mittens and hat for my mom for her birthday in trademark red and purple.

I liked them so much, I made a matching set for myself in a pink and mauvish color!

My set is in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino. Mom’s is in Elsebeth Lavold Classic AL. I’ve never heard of it before purchasing it, but I really am pleased with it. It’s soft and nice to work with, beautiful color, and according to Mom, warm and cozy! That came in handy on the evening of their recent New York City trip! She said that the outside of the wool hat was wet — really wet — and that her hair was still dry, and she was warm. I was thrilled to hear it! Yay for a success!
