This bracelet was a big hit at my holiday parties this year, and was a really fast (and inexpensive!) knit!

Supplies needed:

  • 2 double-pointed needles. Gauge isn’t important, but you’ll probably want a size 3, giver or take.
  • Metallic Elastic cord. Find this in the jewelry aisle at Michael’s or other craft stores.
  • #6 beads. Also available widely at craft stores.
  • A needle and embroidery thread, and a familiarity with my beading tutorial (or any other method of adding beads to a “live” stitch on the needles, as opposed to pre-stringing beads.)

I’m going to write the pattern out fully to be understood, even without a previous familiarity with i-cord, but for more experienced knitters who are ready to “take off”, the basic idea is knitting an i-cord, while adding beads in a pattern you like. Enjoy!
