Blurry Grandpa….

I wish I could say this was the camera, but he really does look like that. 😉

He loves his new socks. They are made from Cascade Fixation, with 56 stitches on #2 needles. They are from Charlene Schurch’s “Sensational Knitted Socks”, and came out really well. He loves them, and seems really comfortable in them.

Grandpa is diabetic, and has to be careful with his feet. This yarn is a soft cotton with an elastic thread through them. The elastic is stretchier than other elastic yarns I’ve seen, so they have more give, and also “fit” closer than wool socks. They also have great breathability — all pluses for diabetic socks.
