I (for once!) have stuck with a blog for over a year (a few of my friends recently reached their blogiversaries, and it occurred to me to check — 2 months ago!  Cheers!), and I still have interest and more than a few readers (granted, not a whole ton, but I love the ones I have!).  So, I decided to shake things up a bit and give my little web-home a makeover.  Hope you don’t mind the new look — I’m “playing”.

My real thoughts are that I’d like to incorporate a little more of my life here — instead of just a place to jabber about knitting (though I’m sure there will be plenty of that!), I’d also like to include more information about us and our life.  Maybe a recipe every now and then, or a link to a touching blog post I’ve stumbled across.

For starters, those friends I mentioned that have celebrated recent blogiversaries — poke around and enjoy!

A mother of two, Emily at Remodeling This Life is my biggest inspiration in tidying up my little “home” here — I love the look of her blog, and the sheer appreciation she has for the simple things in life.

Paid Twice, a mother of two, takes a hard look at finances and revamps her lifestyle to get more out of life for less.

Alison at This Wasn’t in the Plan (you guessed it — a mother of two — notice a theme?) shares recipes, menu ideas, frugal living ideas, and general inspiration for domestic bliss.

And many of you may be interested in this:  On Emily’s blog, I learned about the “Holidays By Hand” Festival, where I plan to submit an article (with a pattern!) for the knitting festival.
