An answer, finally!

But first, I have to share a little bit of fun knitting!  The sweater is from the pattern I got at SAFF (and that cotton yarn, too — it’s so soft!)  I devised the simple little hat to match and they make an adorable pair!

The guest of honor and other shower attendees loved the sweater and the flower-buttons (you didn’t think that was all for me, did you?!?) for her little girl, due in mid-December.  I was amazed at the incredible hand-made bounty!  I’ve never been at a shower with so many incredible handcrafted gifts!  There were two gifts of multiple sewn burp clothes, diaper holders, security blankies, tag-edged blankets, etc.  Hand-scrapped mini-notes, obviously made with love (they had to have taken HOURS!), a lovely crocheted blanket.  A onesie that was hand-painted!  A satin-and-lace bonnet and diaper cover.  And an adorable headband with interchangeable bows!  I was in love — it almost made me want to have another girl….

But I’m sure you can guess that we’re thrilled to use car buttons instead of flower buttons, to welcome our second little boy!

Thanks for all the guesses, well wishes, and completely flummoxed responses!  Checking my email has sure been fun over the weekend!  As usual, we can’t decide on a name (huh, we thought narrowing down the gender would make that part easier!), so you’ll have to check back in March to see!  (And you can come visit before that, too!)
