We had our 20 week ultrasound last week. Now, to give the background, when I was pregnant with my first, we were absolutely sure, from the beginning, that we were having a boy. And Noah was a wonderful addition to the family, but certainly not surprising in his boy-ness. With my second, I felt that unmistakable mother’s instinct: Another boy is on the way! And if I hadn’t been strapped to the surgical table, I surely would have fallen off when the doctor said, “It’s a girl!”
We really enjoyed our two previous surprises, but we decided that, this time around, if we could see for pretty darn sure one way or the other, we’d like to know — it would be fun to tell the kids and get them ready a little more for the impending new arrival. I’ve mentioned a few times before that I thought it was a boy, and as we’ve seen, I’m right 50% of the time. I’ll leave you to “diagnose” the tie-breaker, and you can see if your guess is right when I post a picture of the baby sweater I made for Bumper. Good luck!
